i'm not the one to drink at starbucks alone, ever..but I needed a coffee to not fall asleep driving..spent an almost sleepless night at orlando after two days of awesome good times, I took the trip from orlando to miami driving, went to a three hour meet up, & i'm in my break of "informal sunday" work, and I have to go a meetup tonight and get some studies done, and some thoughts written..don't get me wrong, i'm having crazy fun getting these done..but i'm sleepy anyways..

I bought a cool organizer that organizes from semptember to december..heavy duty (like all I have)..i hate writing & my handwriting, I refuse to write cause I have my pda treo available all the time anyways..but I still need to suck less and organizing my days & improve my handwriting to be at least legible..a little more comic sans a little less heroglyphics..anyways I always like the idea of challenging myself, pushing myself, and just seek for being better you know?..so this is me doing that..and I tell you to do the same, I think maybe that's a reason why personally i'm never bored..just try to never stop..never stop trying to be perfect even though you never will..

I got a couple of the new pumpkin beverages from starbucks as a gift thing from the store..so heck they're free and I wanted to review them just for kicks and giggles..
* pumpkin spice latte : I feel the spices get like really subtle all throughout, not too strong but like really faint, like if you were smelling the aroma from afar..the pumpkin is almost non present though..i can't taste it..neither during nor after..i don't know what's up but it's not there for me and it gets a 4 out of 10..
pumpkin spice frappuccino: now on this one the pumpkin is noticeable the coffee goes still first though, then the pumpkin & the pumpkin stays sweetly on the aftertaste..it's good but not crazy awesome..maybe the veg peeps will like it more..i'm not that type though..7 out 10 baby!!..ka pow!

So just in the last 5 days I started watching every episode of The Office (US version). I didn't expect to like the show. It just turned into more of a "hey this show can keep my attention, it is funny, and seems like real life. I wonder what will happen next" kind of a thing.

But as I continued watching through season 2, something happened to me. I fell in love. I fell in love with Jim. I also fell in love with Pam and Jim. But I mostly fell in love with Jim.

And then.

Just when I thought it was all over for Jim.

THIS HAPPENED!

I might have gotten a tear or two in the back of my eye.

I also might have felt a twinge (is that even a word?) in the bottom of my stomach!

I might have even felt jealous, yet happy for Pam, all at the same time!

All I can say is: LUCKY GIRL!

But SHHHHH! Don't tell me what happens! I am busy the next few days/weeks. Not sure when I will get around to starting season 3. So this is what I want to remember about the show for now.

Okay, I am officially a freak for liking a character on a show so much. This has never happened to me.

So today was the 11th day of school. For the first time, two people came to help me out and also observe me at the same time. I was so appreciative that they can in to help me, offer suggestions, and also aid with the children. As the day progressed I was growing more and more embarrassed because I knew things were not going well and I wasn't handling things like a seasoned teacher would. All my doubts were confirmed at the end of the day when one observer/aid was talking to another teacher with-in ear shot of me. This is what I heard "These children are just so needy. It takes a really strong person to handle them." I am sure they exchanged a few words about me and how well (or not well) I am doing. If they did say something about me, I am glad I didn't hear. What I heard was enough.

In all honesty, I absolutely agree with the two teachers. These children are really needy. They need lots of structure and someone really strong, and probaby with experience in teaching AND in dealing with such needy kids. I am attempting to get structure, but with me being so very new and so very inexperienced, the hard core structure they need is not all there yet. 

I am not trying to be negative, I am talking from reality. I am beginning to think that I may not be the best person for this type of teaching position. The main reason being that I am inexperienced.

I so very much want to succeed at doing this. I want to be able to look back and see growth not only in the children but in myself. It is really hard to be able to see that now, after only 11 days on the job AND in the classroom.

I just hope my principal didn't make a mistake in hiring me. I hope that I didn't make a mistake in taking this job.

I am not sure why I accepted this position. I think a lot of it has to do with a)desperately wanting a job b)rather having Pre-K over Third Grade and c) I didn't think it would be THIS difficult.

I wish I had someone to talk about all this with. Someone to guide me along this incredibly difficult and challenging journey.

Would you ever consider having your life taped for a reality show?

Well of course I would!!! Anyone who truly knows me, knows that I am obsessed with THE original reality show: The Real World and knows that I am doing whatever it takes to get myself on the next season! I have already gone to a walk-in audition in Miami. I made it through the first round, but sadly I never got a call back. I have until I am 25 to keep trying though! :)

I have been glued to the internet and TV about this poor girl since the first news report came about her in Mid July. I believed she was dead all long, and that Casey's mother (the grandmother) was in denial for believing all the shit her daughter did. I could not believe she was released from prison and I am glad to see the bounty hunter admit his mistake for even letting her out. He even thinks Casey is crazy!

But I have thoughts for not only poor little Caylee, but for the people that live around the Anthony residence over there in Orlando. Every time I see a video, there are TONS of police, reporters, cameras, vehicles and such all over the yards, and tiny subdivision street. I really wonder how all the neighbors feel about all this happening on their street, amongst their lives. I am sure they are sick of it.

Now that the hair has been tested and the bodily fluid tested. There is no doubt that poor little girl is dead. But gosh darn it when is the crazy 22 year old mother going to crack and say wtf happened?!?! How much is she going to take before she breaks down?

Only time will tell.

So I would really like to get into all the details about me getting my teaching job, but right now I want to vent about my day. I went to the school board and signed all my paper work, including my teaching contract. That was a piece of cake. Then I went to my school and saw my classroom for the first time. Please keep in mind that tomorrow is the first day of school. My room was extremely bare. I do appreciate and feel extremely lucky to have assistants (whom I just met today) that have worked in Pre-K before, so they did the best they could with what they had. However, the room is lacking TONS of stuff. But instead of being able to start preparing my classroom for children the next day, I prepared my classroom for a hurricane, and for a hurricane shelter. Not only did I have to move furniture to the middle of the classroom away from windows, but I also had to hide some teaching supplies in case my room gets used as a shelter, because my school is a shelter location. Also found out that even though tomorrow SHOULD be the first day of school, it is not. The school district decided to close the entire district due to Fay. Wednesday is still up in the air. It doesn't matter though, whatever day I return to school, it will be the first day of school and I will not have a classroom prepared. Needless to say, I'm freaking out!

Oh did I mention that the school district called me to tell me I had this Pre-K position on Friday? Three days ago? At 3:15pm? Yeah....so I am just going to take this one hour at a time. Day at a time just won't cut it now.

Don't be fooled by my frustrations. I am extremely happy and joyous to have a teaching position, especially in Pre-K! That excites me and I know that these first few days and maybe week or so will be rocky, but I know that everything will smooth over eventually!

I have a job! yay! :)

Snail mail

I have a problem I have to work on a lot..other people gracefully (& sometimes un-gracefully ;-) have brought this to my attention)..the world does not go at the same pace I do..i must totally realize that..the world goes at so many different rhythms that we must learn to adapt and work to each one we encounter..change your beat, play around with your tempo..do what you must do on the time it has to be done..or else you'll fall to a plain old bummed out "fail"..anyways it goes side by side with being on time (puntcuality) & organizing yourself, which I think both are pretty awesome & I should work on more..

25% of the people you will meet will like you right that instant..on that first impression, those peeps will not dislike you that easily..those persons are the ones that smile at you and find favor in you for some reason and you're not that sure why that is..
25% of the other people you will meet will like you but probably could dislike you in the future for some reason..
another 25% of the people you will meet will dislike you but can be convinced to like you..
and the last 25% of the people you will meet will right off the bat dislike you totally and will never like you at all no matter what you do..

I wanted to share this cause well most people want to be liked by all..but well we can try to a certain point..but there's always a limit, in which there's pretty much nothing else you can be to be liked..personally it made me feel more at ease, knowing that there will be sometimes that I will be disliked for no reason..just be who you are, be your most awesomest, be always Loving to whoever it is..and that's it..

always liked to find music which i can''t really get to place the finger on what genre they are..which sometimes are called indie..but i don't know where to go with this band..i mean seriously look at the album art..can you place a finger on the style?..really electric "jungly" vibe in general on their album..pretty good..probably will be a bit of a hype on this band pretty soon..
